Due to relocation I have not attended Holy Family in years, however I do remember Fr. Ted and how I just knew what a dedicated priest he was and you could tell of his great love for Our Father. Now he is at home with The Father he served so well.

Fr. Ted was like a big brother to us. We always enjoyed cooking his favorite Filipino foods to share with him and other friends during various church gatherings. He was also a good friend of the Boy Scouts. We will always remember the times that we had the opportunity to camp at the church courtyard with Boy Scout Troop 1003 during Scout Sundays. The scouts cooked some favorite meals and he dined with us. Cold as it was, armed with a blanket, he sat and exchanged scouting stories with the boys and the adult leaders present around the "camp" fire. Fr. Ted was one of the Scouts favorite pastor. Fr. Ted also had a big heart and was always very helpful to everyone. We are very blessed to have known him. He will be truly missed.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family of Fr. Valencia. I remember him from when I was a little girl attending Holy Family Church. He also blessed me for my quincerera back in 1995. He will be greatly missed. His father has finally called him home.
